With ‘The Legend Of Tarzan’ hitting the cinema screens across Singapore today, featuring Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie, we have put together a list of ways for you corporate folks in the office to release your “inner Tarzan” in Singapore.

#1 – Climb New Heights

Channel and unleash your inner Tarzan at Forest Adventure with 34 different obstacles from elevated bridges and swinging trapezes to wobbly logs and hanging nets. At a height of 5 to 8 metres above the ground, this 2.5 hour tree-top obstacle course promises to be great fun for those who like to climb trees. The highlight is an awesomely long zip-line that takes you flying over the reservoir! Fret not – harnesses, helmets and compulsory safety training are included.

#2 – MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
(Photo: Evolve-MMA Blog)
Sure, we have all tried emulating Ip Man’s Wing Chun at some point or perhaps you’ve actually been trained in martial arts before – but have you ever gone One-Versus-One with a World Champion?
Evolve MMA has the largest number of World Champions of any martial arts school in the world. It has authentic World Champions in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, Wrestling, Submission Grappling, and more – why not book a private class and see what you can learn, from a World Champion?
Mixed martial arts would be the closest ‘kungfu’ you will learn akin to that of Tarzan’s self-learning training with gorillas and other wild beasts.

#3 – Scream your lungs out
(Photo: Screenshot via YouTube)
No Tarzan list would be complete without his signature howling! Introducing the G-MAX! If that doesn’t make you scream your lungs out, we don’t know what else will!
Grab a shot of liquid courage at the bars and pubs of Clarke Quay before boarding these crazy adventure rides. The reverse bungy of G-MAX catapults you up at 200 km/h in a steel reinforced capsule, with enough gravitational force to rival what astronauts feel at a rocket launch. Or get a taste of freefall with the GX-5 Xtreme Swing, a 5-seater capsule pulled perpendicular to the ground before being released like a giant swing at speeds of 120 km/h.
We recommend you to use Johnny Weismuller’s patented Tarzan yell for optimal courage boosting.
OR-EE-OR-EE-OR-EE-OR-EE-OR!!!
Quick fact: Apparently this yell, was used in every Tarzan film thereafter regardless of the actor playing Tarzan.
Warning: Best on an empty stomach

#4 – Equestrianism a.k.a. Horseback Riding
Just like how Tarzan #RideAnElephant (Toybox Tarzan song lyrics).
Horse riding benefits your cardiovascular system and conditions your muscles. As you struggle to position your body in sync with your horse’s movements and to avoid going off-balance, different muscles – such your thighs – are constantly being conditioned.
An hour of intense horse-riding can burn calories equivalent to a 30-minute jog. Factoring in the therapeutic benefits attributed to horse-riding, this sounds like a pretty good alternative to gym workouts.
